Since the US is experiencing financial troubles, and the banks/financial institutions the tax payers bailed out have now returned to full vigor experiencing record profits, how about they pay the tax payers back? (…with interest of course? ;)
It’s not a long term solution (like cutting the proportionately giNormous piece of the budget pie, defense) but it’s a start.
